It was almost unthinkable that Apple would port one of their applications to Windows. I am of course talking about iTunes which made its debut for Windows way back in 2003. I remember that day well, the tag line on Apple’s homepage read “Hell froze over, iTunes for Windows.” Fitting and appropriate and I wouldn’t be surprised if it had frozen over.

Even though Stevesy and Apple were able to dodge those nasty stock option fraud allegations, the law has finally come down on them, and they’ve come down hard. Apple very well might have to go belly up after this situation sorts itself out; the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District has fined Apple $43,200 for an air quality violation earlier this April.

Steve Jobs must be shaking his head, softly chuckling to himself as he reads that Adobe is releasing their very own media player, appropriately called the Adobe Media Player. Today at the National Association of Broadcasters trade show, Adobe revealed the product which seems suspiciously similar to iTunes, excluding the fact that it isn’t iTunes.

Iljitsch van Beijnum of Ars Technica is running an article on why the Leopard delay is a big deal and why we should all care. Besides touting increased functionality and full 64-bit support, Leopard is going to fix one of the very ills that have irritated OSX users to this very day even with Tiger.
