Speculation around the Leopard delay is not going to end any time soon. Why did Apple do it? Don’t they have limitless resources? Is there a conspiracy? What was Steve Jobs thinking? It goes on and on. I am not here to debate that or even try to guess why. But there are some issues that need to be brought up. Most of the people waiting for Leopard aren’t even interested in the iPhone according to Adrian Kingsley-Hughes of ZdNet.

Apple is planning to release Wi-Fi enabled iPods in the second half of this year, according to Taiwanese manufacturing industry sources talking to the DigiTimes.Â

Reactionary pieces to Apple’s delay of Leopard are the “it” thing to do right now; I’d hate to not jump on that bandwagon while the opportunity is present. Simply put, although Apple’s fly-by-night delay of Leopard is saddening and shady, they are still far ahead of Vista’s release schedule; they just have some restitution to deliver.

Those of us that are inseperably united to our Macs know the torture of being forced to choose the machine that fits us best; do we go for the chic and small form factor of the Macbook, the power of the Mac Pro, or the simplicity of the iMac? Believe it or not, there are still potential buyers out there who have no clue, and it is our responsibility to help them make that life-changing choice.

The argument could go on forever and ever. Why aren’t there any practical viruses and no spyware on OSX? As any good Mac user knows, at its core OSX is Unix and the core part of Unix has been around for a good 20 years and in that time there has been no practical virus or spyware for that operating system. Part of their secret is no backwards compatibility with classic (OS9 and earlier) applications.

For those of you who have 30″ Cinema displays, hooray for you. For those of us toting Macbooks or Macbook Pros, we know all too well how valuable that 13″-17″ display space is. Without buying an external monitor, or engaging in a frenzied maximize/minimize battle, how do you keep all of your documents, programs, and windows neat and organized?Two words (but one program): Virtue Desktops.
