Apple’s Mac Mini finds its calling: Military bad-ass

By Triston McIntyre

Apple's Mac Mini finds its calling: Military bad-assThere has been a lot of talk regarding the direction the Mac Mini will take; as Apple’s low-end machine, many perceive the Mac Mini to be without any real purpose or home in the computer market. Today, however, the good folks at Victor Systems have taken the basic Mac Mini and turned it into the meanest armored tank in the computing world for all your militaristic applications!

Apparently there truly is a Mac Mini somewhere within the inches of plating and casing. What could this be used for?

Suppose you need to are holed up in Iraq, and you have a real craving to check out the latest recipes with your favorite dashboard widget…problem solved!

I kid, I kid. Applications range from battlefield implementation to even space use. The casing is constructed of aircraft-grade alluminum alloys, as well as grossly large fanned heat sinks.

In addition to the actual computer, Victor Systems has constructed matching rugged speakers, keyboard, mouse, and display to round out your battlefield computing needs.

Although these uses weren’t listed specifically by Victor Systems, I’ve come up with a few unique uses to help bolster business:

1. Bomb shelter entertainment - not only will this little diddy add a ton of life and entertainment to your post-apocolyptic underground hideaway, it will really give you that authentic “fallout equipment” feel.

2. In-car police replica system - throw one of these setups in your Chevy Caprice (or Honda Civic) and passers by will be forced to believe you are toting the latest and greatest in law-enforcement technology (and please, forego the shotgun in the front seat).

3. Wife passifier - stick with me here… buy one of these little babies and then tell your wife you wanted to spring for the 24″ iMac, but wanted to save for your next anniversary vacation. She’ll either think you’re being really sweet for thinking of her gift first and encourage you to buy that iMac, or she won’t be able to stand the looks and will buy one herself…then you’ll have 2 Macs!

Not only is this sweet thang attractive, the casing can also be resized to specific application necessities, so customization is recommended! If, perchance, this artice brings Victor Systems oodles of business, I wouldn’t mind receiving one in desert camo…hint hint.
