Apple may soon be terminating the lowest end Mac it sells, the Mac Mini. The Mac Mini occupies a market segment that Apple cares little for being a sub-$800 Mac, it has seen good but not great sales and lacks the processing power of its bigger brothers.

We’re all familiar with the iPhone and Leopard delay rumors that hit the great wide interweb last Wednesday which was told almost minute by minute on several websites. There is much speculation as to what happened and Apple is launching an internal investigation to find out.

If you haven’t had the joy of experiencing Adium, dear Mac-loving friends, there is no time like the present. Adium is hands down the best instant messaging client on the Internet, at no cost, and they just released an updated version (v. 1.0.4), so get it while the gettin’s good!

Users of OSX will be the first to tell you that Firefox is slow on it, slower than anything else and that’s because Firefox does not have native OSX controls but it does now, though I still wouldn’t use it. Camino is still superior but this is a step in the right direction for Firefox.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone (besides myself, who is without the necessary resources) to bring a lawsuit against Apple for their shoddy MacBook displays. Finally, some owners based in San Diego are bringing a class-action lawsuit against the technology giant for deceptive advertising in regards to the MacBook display capabilities.

It seems that the folks behind Euro 2012 couldn’t think of anything original to do so they decided to copy the Apple ads with the same kind of dancing silhouettes and similar music. I watched both and while there are similarities the Euro 2012 ad is just poor compared to what Apple did.

Finally, we can put all those Windows-worshippers’ comments aside about how Mac security is more flawed than Wolfowitz’s logic (too soon?): for the last time, to all you people who claim Mac security is bad, direct your focus at 3rd party villains! Villains might be too strong of a term; regardless, a recent flaw in Adobe’s new CS3 turns off Mac firewalls without notifying the user…villainous? Perhaps.

There’s been enough hype surrounding Apple’s release to sedate a small sperm whale, we have to admit. It seems fairly clear that Apple will have one of the hottest products of all time on the market come June… the last question remaining is this: is the Apple iPhone strong enough to push AT&T to the top, or will US consumers demand compatibility with other networks?
