Camino version 1.5 released
That’s right folks, everyone’s favorite Mozilla based browser for Mac OSX has been updated to version 1.5 and includes several additional features and improved features.
One of the most requested features for Camino was spell checking which I am pleased to announce, it now has. But unlike Firefox, Camino uses the spell checker built right in to OSX, I guess Firefox just does its own thing, I don’t know. Whatever, Camino finally has spell check.
Another Firefox centric feature, Session Restore has been brought to Camino as well, restore you sessions just like you would with Firefox, tabs and all, in tact and just as you left it.
I’m not as excited about this next feature as some of you will be, Camino has RSS feed detection. I’ll leave it to you to get excited over that because I’m not going to be.
Last but not least we have annoyance blocking, Camino was always able to block ads or pop-ups but now it has an improved engine with the ability to block Flash until you are ready for it or it can disable all plugins.
It looks like the Camino team has managed to squeeze in just about every requested feature or at least the most popular of Firefox into the latest version of it. What’s in store for version 2.0? I don’t know but it can only get better from here.
Still have Camino 1.0.4? What are you waiting for? Download Camino 1.5 today.
