Apple announces Safari 3 made for Windows!
If you haven’t been following Engadget’s coverage of Steve’s WWDC commencement keynote, you either have a real job or aren’t truly an Apple fanatic; either way, you will be very excited to learn that Steve’s “last thing” is that Safari 3 will run on Windows as well as OS X. That’s right, all those jealous Windows users can now add Safari to the list of their most used programs along with iTunes.
Why go Safari? Well, beyond the obvious superiority of Apple products to their Windows competitors, Safari is benchmarked at 2x the performance of Internet explorer, and 1.6x the performance of Firefox!
Additionally, there are new features included in the next iteration of Safari, such as tabbed browsing…the best part? It is available NOW via www.apple.com/safari for XP, Vista, and OS X platforms as a beta.
More to come on the revelations Steve is making today, but go download the new Safari, especially if you’re running a Windows machine…get over your Macophobia and just do it!

safari beta isn’t very impressive why go to this browser when you have the option of firefox and the much improved internet explorer 7. Yes it seems fast but it doesn’t seem to work correctly with simple mouse over events. As its Beta I’ll give it another chance when it is production ready.

Just tried it and it won’t even display my chosen font so no text in menu items what so ever. Early days yet but I’m not impressed.
