Apple media event announced for August 7th
Apple has sent out invitations for the media to gather at the Apple Town Hall in Cupertino,CA on August 7th at 10 AM PDT.
The announcement was very specific that this is Mac related, so the likelihood of any iPhone news is low, but iPod information has not be completely ruled out as of yet.
The most persistent rumor seems to be that there will be a retooling of the iMac line with some sites suggesting the 17 inch models being eliminated. The one thing almost everyone seems to agree on is the new look is a brushed metal appearance and “razor thin”.
Other possible announcements for next Wednesday include updates to iLife and iWork. This would hopefully include the long delayed, and very desired, spreadsheet application that has been missing from the productivity suite.
As with all Apple announcements, it’s fun to speculate up until the time the speech is given, so what are your thoughts? Faster processors? More cores? Will we hear about iPods? The possibilities are endless, and we will be sure to bring you all the details as soon as they are released.
