iMac with aluminum finish is a fake
We all know that people are going to fake products, especially right before Apple is allegedly releasing updates to one or more product lines. This cropped up on Digg at some point yesterday and by some miracle made the front page, why is a mystery.
The post simply links to two pictures of a very obvious, very fake and very bad PhotoShop job. It looks like someone tried to blend the current line of Cinema displays with an iMac and then blurred it and added some noise. Also, as the comments point out, it’s running Leopard. Even if the new iMacs come out tomorrow, Apple would not advertise them with Leopard.
It’s not really about the fake and it’s not even really about how lame Digg is, it’s about just how bad the PhotoShop job is. I mean, if you’re going to do something, at least do it right or at least so people don’t yell PhotoShop the first time they see it.
We don’t really know what Apple is planning for tomorrow and we won’t know until Steve Jobs (or one of his disciples) makes an announcement. So let’s just leave it be until then. I wish Apple fanboys had a mute button, someone should work on that.

Duh. This is news? What’s your next headline “THE MOON NOT MADE OF CHEESE.”

It was the best news I could conjure up for the day…
The moon may not be made of cheese BUT… I didn’t want to do yet another “iPhone this, iPhone that” story, we’re sick of iPhone news around here. Throw us a bone, Apple…
