iPod Nano 3rd Gen Picture Leaked?
Has the usual veil of Apple secrecy been broken, and a picture of the 3rd Gen iPod Nano is out on the web?
9to5Mac.com is reporting that they have found a picture that proves their earlier reports that the iPod Nano is getting a make-over in the next iPod line update.
They have been reporting for awhile now that the iPod Nano would be getting video on a 320X240 screen, shrinking in height by 1″, and taking on a squatty look in general. This would also be accompanied by a bump to 16GB of NAND Flash memory, doubling its current top end memory limit.
The picture is certainly questionable, and 9to5Mac is fairly new on the Mac rumor scene, but they have established a fairly good track record already with pinpointing the new iMacs.
To this writer’s eyes though, something just doesn’t ring true about this image. That’s not to say 9to5Mac made it up, but there is always a chance they were led astray by their source. The Nano has been a sleeker, slimmer brother to it’s big brother from the start, and this just doesn’t have that look. There is also the added fact that Apple’s legal department has not swooped down on this image yet.
All should be revealed next month, so for now, take this information with a healthy dose of salt.
