Tiger catches another revision before Leopard prowls

By Triston McIntyre

Tiger catches another revision before Leopard prowlsHold your horses (or large, carnivorous felines, if you prefer) if you thought the only thing standing between you and Leopard was a matter of days, you were wrong.  Apple just released a final build (10.4.11) to the developer community, and will be distributing it to the general public shortly.

AppleInsider has it that the upcoming patch, which will weigh in at a moderate 65 Mb for Power PC users, but a hefty 119 Mb for Intel Macs, includes fixes and updates to the following:

“WebCore, SearchKit, BlueTooth (enabling/disabling), Networking and Cisco VPN, Directory Services, CoreAudio and m4a files, File Manager and POSIX volumes, and CoreAudio and decoding iTunes Plus files.”

Though updates and fixes are always welcome, it would be nice if this next patch does not raise more issues than it quells; we’d all like to set our Macs on cruise control until Leopard reaches our hands!
