Free Mac software Sunday, automatically fetch iTunes album art with GimmeSomeTune
By Jonathan Schlaffer
We all have it, iTunes and we all have those songs that just don’t have the album art or lyrics with it and some of us are just too lazy to hunt it down manually. Here is a free utility that will automatically fetch album art and lyrics for iTunes.
However, GimmeSomeTune does more than just download album art and lyrics, it also has last.fm support, remote control support, displays currently playing music, has a lyrics window and includes hotkeys to control iTunes. There is also support for iChat and a recently played menu.
From the developer, “All in all, you’ll never want to use iTunes without GimmeSomeTune again.”
As with many freeware applications, GimmeSomeTune is free but if you like the program, donations are appreciated.
There are versions for use with OSX 10.4 and OSX 10.3.9.
