iDemocracy: First Windows automated 1.1.1 iPhone jailbreak, app installer
If you’ve recently tried to hack your 1.1.1 iPhone on a Windows machine, you’ve probably found yourself thoroughly discouraged. Mac users tend to get all the cool, automated hacks first, so it’s about time someone released an automated 1.1.1 iPhone jailbreak for Windows. Introducing: iDemocracy!
iDemocracy is the first (mostly) automated jailbreak and third-party app installer for the 1.1.1 iPhone. It only runs on Windows, but, well, that’s the point as Mac users already have a few options available.
Just as with any hack on any device, do not use this software if you’re really, really afraid of permanently messing up your iPhone. With that said, if you stay within the confines of iDemocracy and its directions, you should be able to restore your iPhone to its factory state through iTunes. In order to do a restore, open iTunes, click on the iPod icon on the left, and click the restore button.
iDemocracy is free and downloadable through it’s Google code page here. It automates the jailbreak process as much as possible and walks you through the required firmware downgrade, which you must do prior to the jailbreak. You will revert to the 1.1.1 firmware, but this would happen later in the process.
