Free Mac Software Sunday: AppDelete lets you truly uninstall your apps
By Danny Mendez
Something beautiful about Mac OSX is the ability to easily install and uninstall apps. In most cases, all you have to do is copy and paste the app to your desired location. To uninstall, simply delete the program, but apps tend to create all sorts of files and folders that you may not delete along with the program.
As a result, it’s easy to find that your machine may have several unused files and folders all over the place. That’s where AppDelete can help.
The program takes the shape of a little wooden wastebasket much like the OSX Trash. To uninstall a program, simply drag the program from into the wooden wastebasket. AppDelete will find all the files and folders that the program created (not including saved documents like a Word document or a Photoshopped image), and send it all into the OSX Trash.
AppDelete is free and is a great alternative to the commercial programs that do the same thing. You can get AppDelete here, preventing your computer from filling up with useless stuff.
