Apple prepares 10.5.1 Leopard update
There is a light at the end of the tunnel for all those faithful early adopters of OS X Leopard; Apple is currently preparing its first update, fittingly labeled 10.5.1.
According to AppleInsider, Apple has begun circulating the patch internally for testing purposes. We can probably expect to see the patch surfacing closer to the end of the month.
The patch will address specific security flaws as well as normal bugs and issues associated with a new OS release.
If you still haven’t bought Leopard, I would highly recommend waiting until it is patched a first time; the security issues pose the greatest problem, and if you’re a happy Tiger user, you can probably afford to wait just a little longer (as Tiger still beats the pants off the other OS’s on the market) to adopt Leopard.

I installed OS X Leopard onto my 2.7 dual G5 and first got blue screens twice installed, then on third time was totally locked out, my password would not work, forth time it worked and was fast, but after one add on to a game I normally use, crashed locked and froze up computer time after time. Over all I am very unhappy with Leopard, MS was the last company that did this to me. Mac fan lots less a fan.

Don’t beta test the world, MS has that crown.
