You’ve seen sites reporting that the new firmware for the iPod Touch and iPhone is out, it is but it has not yet hit iTunes so you will have to update manually. There are a few noticeable surprises in store for users.

As you may have noticed, the 1.1.2 iPod Touch/iPhone firmware is finally out, and, as you may also know, it has the tendency to return jailbroken units back to their factory state. I’m sorry, I should’ve reworded that, it had the tendency to return units back to their factory state.

All those iMacs that seemingly freeze for no reason may have a much more serious problem than faulty drivers and updates from Apple may not fix the issue.

Apple positions the Time Machine backup feature in Leopard as one of the best improvements in OSX to date only it doesn’t work correctly 100% of the time. In fact, many Apple users are finding it difficult to get it to work correctly even part of the time.

Don’t let it be said that I am a fanboy; I idolize objectivity as much as the next writer. However, when someone draws false comparisons that directly reference Apple, I feel it is my responsibility to correct any discrepancies to the best of my ability.
