Free Mac Sunday, automatically change desktop backgrounds with Desktopia

By Jonathan Schlaffer

Automatically change desktop backgrounds with Desktopia Over the years all of us collect hundreds or even thousands of desktop backgrounds some of which will never see the light of day again, that’s where a free program called Desktopia may help out.

There are several other programs like this and even programs that will randomly pick a picture and change your desktop background automatically at certain time intervals but I haven’t seen one of those yet that does it for free.

Desktopia allows you to specify the images and how long each should be displayed by setting the time(s) when it should change to a new one.

From the developer, “Desktopia can automatically change your desktop picture based on a specified time of the day.

There might be some hurt in here because Desktopia has only been tested on OSX 10.4, Leopard users may be left out but that doesn’t mean it will hurt to see if the program will work in Leopard.  Some programs do, some programs don’t and it just depends.
