Apple's MacBook Air is not the computer to buy Leave it to Apple, designing products no one will really need or want and accessories that only work with a single computer.  That’s right, the optical drive designed specifically for the MacBook Air won’t work with any other computer.At this point it’s almost what one would expect.

Apple's MacBook Air is not the computer to buy All roads lead back to this year’s MacWorld, many were disappointed with the announcements as there were no widespread product revisions/announcements and by all counts, the MacBook Air is seen as “bad fruit.”  Apple stocks are down temporarily but the long term outlook is good and it’s possible some new MacBook Pros are due soon.

New Macbook Pros with new touchpads, Penryn due in 3 weeksWith MacWorld comes all good things; okay, perhaps not the Macbook Air, or updates to the Apple’s wireless router, but know that good things spill forth from Cupertino in all arenas shortly after MacWorld.  For those of you who aren’t completely enamored with the new Macbook Air, rumor has it that the real Clydesdales of the Apple portable lineup, the Macbook Pros, are due to receive the bigger trackpad (and yummy features) of the Air and an updated processor.

Apple stocks take short dive after MacWorld keynote Usually, during and after the MacWorld keynote, Apple stocks take a slight rise but that did not happen after the MacWorld 2008 keynote speech.  Steve Jobs did little more than announce incremental updates to the iPod Touch, iPhone and announced the MacBook Air.
