Transmission for Mac OS X gets updated to 1.00Praise be to the free software gods!  Transmission, the uber-popular torrent client for OS X, has officially “made it,” reaching 1.00 version status.Transmission has long been touted by the Mac torrent community as one of, if not the best, torrent clients due to its system-light requirements, speedy performance and ease of use.  However, for a long while it has been in beta, though it was quite functional and enjoyable. Now it is updated to a fully-functional version with a new look and more functionality.  Best of all, it is still free as ever.

Continued impressions of the professionalism of the MacBook ProApple offers a lovely line of portable units in the MacBook and MacBook Pro (and whatever the new ultra-portable is to be called come MacWorld January 15th); I recently wrote an article documenting 5 reasons the MacBook Pro is great for everyday usage, not just professional applications.  In this article I’ll give you my continued impressions and recommendations based on using the MacBook Pro for a longer period of time.
