All Apple stores are closed. Come on Apple don’t disappoint, give us the updated MacBook Pro.

By Opal Tribble

Apple-maintenance.jpgIf you tried to log into any of the Apple stores, you’ll find that they are all closed for maintenance. When all the online Apple stores are closed it means a major announcement is in the works. Although some Apple stores have been closed on the past three Tuesdays many online stores, from other countries, were open for business.

Could we finally receive the much anticipated MacBook Pro? The MacBook Pro hasn’t been updated since June 2007. This has been the longest time frame for a MacBook Pro updated. Some people are starting to get annoyed since they’ve been waiting for an update to the MacBook Pro line. Recently, three Apple part numbers materialized in the inventory management systems of Apple and one of their resellers, Best Buy.

Later in the day information was leaked about an updated MacBook. The new features would include a 13.3 inch screen-equipped laptop. The MacBook would also offer a 2.4GHz processor with the oprion of 1GB or 2GB of RAM pre-installed. The MacBook received an upgrade late last year. Perhaps we’ll see an update to two Mac computers? Are you one of the people that has been waiting for an updated MacBook Pro? I we don’t see an update today will you wait longer or make another choice?

What else can we see with this announcement? Many are speculating whether the iPhone SDK will be released in February as originally planned. We most likely see Apple announcing that the Time Capsule will be ready for shipment. The Time Capsule is appearing this week’s flyer from Best Buy. We’ll keep an eye on the Apple store and post the updates on MAC.BLORGE.com.

Update: Apple has updated the MacBook and the MacBook Pro .

I’ll wait longer. Even if it comes out today and does not have the features that I love on the MacBook Air (trackpad, keyboard) I will still wait for another update later this year.

      dmiagios,
Originally, I was going to purchase this update but a few weeks ago I decided to wait for the major update. How do you like the MacBook Air? I’ll be renting it in a few weeks. I’m definitely fascinated with it.

      PJF,
My first reaction when I went to the Apple store was relief, and then I thought, It’s about time! It’s great that they updated both the MacBook and the MacBook Pro.

I’m sure you mean “Give US the updated MacBook Pro.” Would it kill you to proofread?
