Apple announces the updated MacBook and the MacBook Pro. The multi-touch trackpad is now featured on the MacBook Pro.
Well it’s about time! Apple has finally updated the MacBook Pro. The MacBook has also received an update. The cases, for both models, have remained the same. The MacBook and the MacBook Pro feature the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, larger hard drives (up to 300GB) and 2GB of memory standard in most models.
In addition, the MacBook Pro received the multitouch trackpad; however, we did not get the larger trackpad as seen in the MacBook Air. The keyboard has also remained the same so we didn’t see the black keyboard or the flat keyboard that is now featured in the MacBook and the MacBook Air. Standard in all Mac notebooks is built-in iSight video camera, MagSafe Power Adapter, and built-in 802.11n wireless networking.
Each Tuesday in February Apple has added something major to their product line. It looks as though they saved the best for last updating both the MacBook and the MacBook Pro. One thing I’ve noted is that the Apple remote is not included with your computer. You have to fork over $19 to receive it. Come on Apple as much as we pay for the computer you could toss in the remote as you did with older models.
We’ll post more information as it comes in.
