Amazon reduces the price of the MacBook Air, offers significant discounts on the last generation MacBook and MacBook Pro
Amazon is having a sale on some of their Apple computers. The recently unveiled MacBook Air is on sale, and it happens to be one of their electronic best sellers ranking at #17. Currently you can purchase the MacBook Air at Amazon for $1744.They’ve knocked off $5 from the list price, and they are also including a $50 rebate offer. Apple is currently offering the same computer for $1799. If you can’t take advantage of Apple’s education or employee discount, and you aren’t going to purchase the Apple Care, Amazon would be a great option.
The MacBook Air is the thinnest computer available. It weights 3 pounds making it a light, compact, and sports the basics you need to keep you on the move while you are on the go. This computer was designed for the busy traveler. It’s not meant to replace your primary computer. We first saw the multi-touch trackpad added to the MacBook Air’s, and Apple has extended this feature to the updated MacBook Pro. Apple has reported that the MacBook Air has a five-hour battery life. Almost, but not quite.
The deals don’t stop with the MacBook Air, Amazon has decided to slash the prices of the older MacBook and the MacBook pro Mac computers. The discounts are significant. You can pick up the last generation MacBook for $919 after a $75 rebate. The MacBook Pros have been reduced to $1544 after a $150 rebate. If having the latest MacBook or MacBook Pro doesn’t concern you or don’t want to fork over the money for the newest Apple computer but you still need a computer you might want to take advantage of this deal for the significant discounts. Rebates end March 11.
Rebates will either need to be mailed in, or completed online.

If you’re still not sure whether you want to take advantage of Amazon’s deal on the MacBook Air you do have the option to try before you buy. More companies are offering MacBook Air rentals. I’ll be renting one myself.
