Apple has always allowed independent training centers to offer help, assistance and support on its products. Unfortunately, they don’t necessarily tell you which ones are reputable, as they operate slightly outside of Apple’s purview. They are authorized to do the work, but Apple has never tracked their quality.

It’s not that Apple is doing a bad job but as a company it’s not doing a great job. Many Apple fans worship the ground that Steve Jobs walks on but he’s not such a great person, after all. Of course, that shouldn’t have anything to do with the company, or does it? Apple thinks its computing products are superior and as such believes it has the right to charge more for the same insides that any PC has.

Apple has added two new models to its line of iPhone and iPod touch. The new models have received a huge increase in memory. The iPhone is available in a 16GB model for $499. It joins the 8GB model which is available for $399. The iPod touch is now available in a 32GB model for $499. It joins the 8GB model which is available for $299, and the 16GB model which is available for $399.

Research company Gartner, Inc. has predicted by 2011 Apple (AAPL) will double its computer markets shares in the U.S. and Western Europe.

What’s on the inside? I’m sure that’s a question that many people have wondered when they’ve viewed the world’s thinnest computer. Leave it to the people at iFixit to uncover this mystery. iFixit repairs and upgrades Apple products; however, it is probably best known for taking apart and dissecting every new Apple product that hits the market. Shortly after receiving their Macbook Air, iFixit cracked it open to reveal what’s inside.

In a nod to the growing number of people now switching from Windows to the Apple OS, Apple has created a subsection of its site that is meant to act as a guide for the new user. The section deals with a variety of questions new users have from porting data to dual booting Windows and Mac OS X. It is a much needed feature, offering Apple sponsored solutions to problems that up until now were only available by searching the Internet.

As people absorb the fact that the ultralight MacBook Air is aimed at a market that needs less space than the average laptop user, the problem of how to cram your stuff onto it comes into play. Since it comes with two drive options (64GB and 80GB), you do have some say in how much space is available, though the biggest option is still only 80GB.
