Sims Castaway Stories.jpgGood news for Sims loving Mac users Aspyr Media, Inc recently announced that Sims Castaway Stories is now available for the Mac. It has begun shipping to retail stores.

In this adventure, the Sims have washed up on a tropical island and just like the folks that were left stranded on Gilligan’s Island your Sims will have to prepare a new life in this unexplored paradise. You have two ways you can play this game you can use story mode where you work at fulfilling goals during your exploration of the island. If you’re like myself and enjoy freedom of choice select the open-end free mode. You’ll make your own Sim (or Sims) and can explore the island at your own pace. How the story unfolds is up to you. About four years, ago I purchased The Sims for my Xbox. I was curious many of my friends played the game and loved it. I wanted to see what the fuss was about. I enjoyed the game so much that when I purchased my MacBook Pro I bought The Sims 2 for the Mac.

The Sims is an extremely popular gaming series and has been around for eight years. The first game in the series, The Sims, was released on February 4, 2000. It was created by game designer Will Wright. It became the best selling PC game in history on March 22, 2002 selling more than 6.3 million copies. I still occasionally play The Sims 2 on my Mac. Interestingly enough my character does similar things as I do in real life, and she looks a lot like myself. You can purchase The Sims Castaway Stories by visiting the Aspyr website.
