Apple releases RAW compatibility 2.0
Apple has recently released an updated for several new cameras. If you are a photographer who’s been wanting to use Aperture 2.0 or iPhoto 7.1.2 with iLife support 8.2 check out the list to see whether you’re camera is now compatible with Apple software programs such as Aperture 2.0 and iPhoto.
What are RAW files? RAW files are used in some digital cameras think of them the equivalent of a negative in film photography. I have noticed that Apple adds new cameras to the compatibility list fairly quickly. When I initially purchased my Nikon D80 it wasn’t compatible with Aperture 1.5, at the time however within a few weeks they released an update which enabled me to use RAW within Aperture. The cameras on the list include.
- Hasselblad CFV-16
- Hasselblad H3D-31
- Hasselblad H3D-31II
- Leaf Aptus 54S
- Leaf Aptus 65S
- Nikon D60
- Olympus E-3
- Pentax *ist DL2
- Pentax *ist DS2
- Pentax K100D Super
- Sony DSLR-A200
- Sony DSLR-A350
You can also check out the RAW compatibility 2.0 update by visiting the Apple website. Along with the release of the new camera it looks like Apple has included a security update within this bundle. You can check it out at Apple support.
