March 25, 2008

adobe-photoshop-elements-6.jpgGood news for Mac user’s Adobe recently announced that Photoshop Elements 6 is now available for the Mac. In January 2008, Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 was introduced at the Mac World Expo.

Adobe Photoshop Elements was originally released in 2001. Although Aperture 1.5 is the main photo editing software that I use (I still haven’t upgraded to Aperture 2.0) Photoshop Elements is another photo editing software that I use. Adobe Photoshop Elements is a powerful photo editing software application that I use. Photoshop Elements is built on the same software engine as Adobe Photoshop. What I like about Adobe Photoshop Elements is that it offers powerful image editing features as the pricier Adobe Photoshop at a fraction of the cost. This makes it appealing for users who don’t want to spend the extra money on Adobe Photoshop.

New features you will see in Photoshop Elements 6 include…

  • Easily create perfect group shots with new Photomerge® Group Shot
  • Batch apply one or more adjustments to multiple images simultaneously
  • Take advantage of Guided Edit mode for assistance with key steps when editing and making creations
  • Count on flexible layout options to create scrapbook pages, CD/DVD labels, and more
  • Select objects in your photos more easily than ever with the new Quick Select tool
  • Create and fine-tune rich, dramatic black-and-whites with ease
  • Get the perfect exposure with new tools for fine-tuning color, brightness, and contrast
  • Combine features from different faces for entertaining results
  • Experience native performance on Intel® and PowerPC® based Macintosh computers
