i Use Both (windows 7) Mac Os X Snow Leopard Operating systems, they both have their ups and minuses first of all, mac is directed more for entertaitment - games, mac has Steam Store but it only supports few of the modern day Pc hits, i have steam on both machines and Pc has major influence on this category with mac your operations are more fluid and consistent versus the windows, Gaming on windows is big plus, but its because of windows monopoly state on the market, developers are forced to create major titles for windows not for it being a best development platform but because its owns most of the marketplace. Mac on the other hand owns the major marketing for video editing, music editing and all major hollywood studios use macs. Why, because its much more stable envoirment to work on, being more features doesn't allways mean being more productive, mac has stable platform and therefore is more productive than its Windows Counterpart. Sure Windows can handle Very Good Video Editing Programs Such as Adobe AfterEffects, Sony Vegas etc. But in my own experience editing with mac is more stable. Im not a Mac lover. Mac is more expensive. Is it worth it, for me it is. I use both platforms but for diffrent things, Windows: Gaming, Mac: Video, Music, Photography Linux: Mediacenter server. In the end, these are just my opinions.

Being open minded for all platforms Lets you choose on the most suiting OS for you

I Use Windows Every Day, and I Was Saying That Windows is Better Than a Mac..... But NOW......
I Say Mac OS X is Better Than Windows Because When i didn't know the features of Mac OS's, I Was saying Oh Who Needs A Mac?

But When I Tried it It's The Most Advanced OS In The World!

"Inferior Purchase"?????

I don't agree. Though the Macbook Pro is an excellent computer, something I know from experience, There are countless non-Mac computers which can outperform it. Why is that? Simply because PC's are the more open-ended computer type. Sure, the Macbook Pro may have a backlit keyboard, good quality display, long-lived batteries, fast processor, ect ect ect, but the simple truth is that for less than 1,100 dollars just about anyone with experience could make a custom PC with these features, or better. I've done it. sure, it may be slightly larger, but if you can't carry anything more than 5.4 pounds, you should probably start lifting weights soon. Macbook Pro is an excellent computer, but anyone with moderate computer experience should be able to make a superior PC.

Im a PC user that has switched to Mac and ive gotta say i can see where laptop and pc fans are coming from, but in my humble opinion,
macs are easier to use.

my brothers windows laptop is CONSTANTLY being bombarded by viruses, its clunky to use, i dont think pc\laptop users will understand until you actually USE A MAC.

im not gonna be a dick and say "it just works" but its easier to navigate around, things just feel like they make more sense.

on paper theyre probably the same (apple more than likely works out more expensive - you get what you pay for)
but ultimately its worth it (for me anyway).

have fun and hello tomorrow,

These points are only valid if you are planning to leave Windows as your PC operating system.

I bought a PC laptop, declined the EULA, got my Windows Refund, and installed Ubuntu Linux.

It now runs as fast, as well, and virus-free as any Mac.

So this is it? It does nothing extra that i couldn't do on regular notebook. Just something looks better, nicer. I don't see a reason why should i pay more money for that? Sure it makes the image, all apple things are nice and trendy. That's waht youre paying for.

The catch 22 in UNIX is a known security plus. With Linux, Unix, OSX you cannot run something unless you have permission and you can't get permission unless you are given it. Voila minimizing hacking. With Windows, drop an exe, com, bat, dll in the wrong place and boom nightmare. 10 years without a stupid virus
program on an OSX box and still counting. Of course I don't go (like an idiot) and run things I don't know about their source. In a Windows Env. - even as a VM on a MAC I still have to run a stupid virus checker for hours sometimes.
