Apple quietly releases an update to Apple TV, Apple TV 2.0.2

By Opal Tribble

Apple-TV.jpgApple quietly released an update for Apple TV; Apple TV 2.0.2. This update has added a new feature along with some bug fixes. If you are looking for an update on the Apple support website you won’t find it. With the last update genres were added and just like the Apple TV 2.0.1 update 2.0.2 was released with little fanfare. You won’t find the update listed on the Apple support page.

I’m an Apple TV user, and one thing I have noticed is that there is a new feature added to Flickr with Apple 2.0.2 you will now find a favorites entry nestled within a Favorite contact. If your contact has a photo that you love you can now add it under this tab. Previously, users viewed their contacts favorites through the publicly available photo-streams.

What else has changed? Some users have reported that the update has improved their wireless connectivity others have mentioned that they have seen an improvement in the fast forward/rewind function which enables seamless fast forwarding and rewinding directly from the remote.

How do you update your software? The update is available by visiting the Apple TV Software General Settings menu found under Update Software. I downloaded the update for my Apple TV, it did not take that long to install.

That’s about it for the Apple TV 2.0.2 if you notice any additional changes please let us know.
