Psystar Mac "clone" gets unboxed for review
By Jonathan Schlaffer
Psystar is getting more credibility these days and will very soon attract the attention of Apple’s goon squad legal brigade. Until then, it seems it is finally shipping out the "OpenComputer" to its users and even a few sample review units to some lucky tech blogs.
Engadget received its Psystar Mac "clone" and posted unboxing pictures for everyone to gaze their stare upon. It looks like a computer, it comes with what you would expect, motherboard manuals, driver CDs, processor instructions and that all important copy of Mac OSX Leopard.
It doesn’t seem to bother the folks over at Psystar that it’s illegal to install Mac OSX on anything except Apple hardware which is essentially standard issue PC hardware that is just "prettied up." Also the Psystar system sounds a bit noisy in this video but it’s almost what you’d expect from a knock-off.
Don’t expect to be able to use the system update feature in Leopard on the Psystar system either, it’s all but disabled.
Looks like a clone, smells like a clone, sounds like a clone and it even works like a clone but it sure is a lot cheaper than the real deal. Let’s start the countdown on how long it will take Apple to shut Psystar down, place your bets now.

Psystar is really Gates messing with Jobs, he knows anything Jobs can’t obsessively micromanage might cause a stroke.
