If you are looking for an update on the Apple support website you won’t find it. With the last update genres were added and just like the Apple TV 2.0.1 update 2.0.2 was released with little fanfare. You won’t find the update listed on the Apple support page.

Mac clone company Psystar appears to be as fakes as the Macs they makeThere’s a lot of news these days regarding Mac "clones" made by the Psystar corporation.  This company does not appear to be real in the physical sense.  Add to that, earlier the online store was not accepting orders because it could not process credits cards.

Apple offers GeForce 8800GT upgrade for older Mac Pro desktops Older Mac Pro owners will not (finally) be left out in the cold after all.  When Apple decided to release a GeForce 8800GT upgrade kit for the Mac Pro, it was soon discovered that this kit did not work on the older Mac Pros.  This has now be rectified and a kit is now available for owners of the “older” Mac Pro.

iTunes and Starbucks, together again

The iTunes and Starbucks pairing to present the Song Of The Day last year was one of their most successful promotions ever. They are teaming up again with a similar promotion, called Pick Of the Week. This new promotion will give customers a song or video each week to download and enjoy. Each week will bring a new song or video choice.

There’s a lot of news floating around right now about Psystar corporation and it’s army of "clone" Macs.  Psystar has stopped calling their line of computers "OpenMacs" and is now calling them "Open Computers" but are still willing to install a number of operating systems including OSX Leopard.

Get an "OpenMac" desktop for $399.99 If you want an Apple desktop you have two choices, the rather limited Mac Mini or the overpriced Mac Pro but here’s another option.  Psystar is offering what it calls an "OpenMac" which is made of standard PC parts and is selling it on its site for only $399.99.

Adobe updates Lightroom 1.4.1 and Camera Raw 4.4.1 for Mac

adobe.pngGood news for photographers who use Adobe photo editing software they have recently updated Lightroom and Camera Raw.

The download for Adobe Lightroom 1.4.1 is 42.9MB. Looking at the release notes you will notice that not only have they increased the stability of both software applications you will also find additional cameras are now supported, and they have updated the printer driver compatibility.
