Did you know that Mac computers are number one in higher education? Yes, its true it beat out Dell earlier this year. Many schools have invested in Mac computers along not to mention the growing number of families that have school aged children.

Every year Apple has incredible deals for those going back to school. This Tuesday, June 3, 2008 Apple is expected to unveil its Back to School promotion and according to Ron Johnson, senior vice-president for Apple it will be their biggest promotion ever.

Apple is being quiet about the specifics regarding the upcoming promotion; however, if past trends are any indication expect to see rebates on qualifying Mac products like the MacPro, iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air along with the PowerMac. The Mac Mini has always been excluded due to its low cost. In the Back to school promotion of 2007 students and teachers were able to save $199 when they purchased a qualifying Mac and either an iPod or iPod Nano simultaneously.

Additionally, students and teachers will also get to apply their Apple education discounts towards the deal. If you haven’t signed up for the program do it. I’m working on another degree and have saved a few thousand dollars thanks to the program. If you are a homeschooling parent, you can take advantage of this program also. Apple hasn’t forgotten about you. Apple recognizes that more parents are choosing to homeschool their children they have a program designed for you also.
