Microsoft plays nice, ups Mac support staff

In what is reported to be the largest single staff increase in Microsoft history for its Mac products division, Microsoft has gone a Mac hiring spree. The Mac Business Unit at Microsoft has been around for eleven years now, and according to its General Manager, Craig Eisler the company is “launching our biggest hiring initiative since the inception of MacBU.”

Apple: TV shows have been added to the Australia iTunes store

itunes-logo.JPGiTunes Australia users discovered a nice surprise when they logged onto iTunes this morning. TV shows are now available for download. Although there hasn’t been, an official word from Apple iTunes users are now able to download and purchase TV shows by logging onto the Apple iTunes store.

Safari gets Windows update, fixes carpet bomb attack issue

Safari for Windows recently got a much needed Windows XP and Vista version update that solved a vast array of issues plaguing Windows users. One of the biggest was a desktop attack vulnerability called a carpet bomb. This put users at risk got attack through Safari and the desktop.

Apple rumors are everywhere, all the time. Most of the time I simply ignore them as so much noise. On occasion, one will catch my attention and get me excited, however. The rumor that Apple may make iSight HD is definitely one of those.
