Apple offers a free 8GB iPod touch; Back-to-School Promo

By Opal Tribble

apple.jpegApple is off to an early start with its Back-To-School promotions. I recently reported that Apple would be offering the best back-to-school promotion ever. If you are a college student, need a new Mac computer, and are planning to do your back to school shopping early this is a great opportunity for you to purchase your Mac computer and score a free 8GB iPod touch.

Logging onto the Apple website you’ll see that Apple made good on its promise. They are currently offering a $299 rebate for the 8GB iPod touch. An 8GB iPod touch isn’t enough? You do have the option of applying the rebate to the purchase of the 16GB iPod touch which normally cost $399 or you can go for maximum storage and purchase the whooping 32GB iPod. It normally costs $499. Thanks to the rebate you will be able to knock off $299 bucks if you decide to upgrade from the 8GB iPod touch.

Of course you cannot purchase anything from the Apple store and expect to get this rebate. Apple has a list of qualifying Mac systems the MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, and the Mac Pro.

Apple computers that don’t qualify are the Mac mini, earlier generations of the 17″ iMac. You also won’t be able to get a rebate if you purchase an Apple TV, iPhone, iPod Shuffle, iPod Classic, 4GB iPod Nano, and refurbished products.

The rebate is effective from June 3, 2008, through September 15, 2008 to see the terms and conditions for this offer you can log onto the Apple website and download the .pdf file which is located at the bottom of the screen. Remember you can use yourApple education discount to save additional money on your Mac computer and a large variety of other Apple products.
