World of Warcraft; Wowhead Warcraft database releases OS X client
By Opal Tribble
I started playing World of Warcraft a few months ago initially I played to write a review about my gaming experience; however, I was hooked with the MMORPG and paid the monthly fee after my trial had expired.
One of my favorite website to find information on World of Warcraft is Wow Insider. Wow Insider recently released Wowhead for the Mac. Wowhead is a massive database that makes finding information about quests, items, and NPCs in game a lot easier. Think of it as Google for World of Warcraft players. The Wowhead client makes all this possible since it gathers information on the quests, items, and NPC’s while you are playing the game.
Previously, it was only available to Windows users; however, a Mac version has been released for its info-gathering spiders. The download is free. Log onto WowInsider and download the Wowhead client for Mac. The download is 2.1 MB.
World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). It’s Blizzard’s fourth game that was created in this fantasy universe. It is the world’s largest MMORPG. The first official expansion pack was The Burning Crusade which was released on January 16, 2007. During the BlizzCon event Blizzard announced that a second expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King, would be released. Currently WOTLK is scheduled to be released on 11/03/08.
I downloaded the Wowhead client on my MacBook Pro and plan to use it the next time I play. I haven’t played the game in a few weeks; I will come back to it when I have some free time. Oh by the way the name of the addon is Wowhead Looter. When you log onto WOW make sure you enable the add-on. Once enabled the info-spider will get busy and start collecting data.
