Watch WWDC ‘08 keynote online; Steve Jobs shows the iPhone 3G in action

June 10, 2008

WWDC 08-Keynote-Steve Jobs.jpgFor those of you who missed Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, flashing the next generation iPhone, the iPhone 3G. You have a chance to catch the keynote address. Apple has it available online. The WWDC ‘08 keynote is available exclusively in QuickTime and MPEG-4.

A lot of tantalizing iPhone 3G application’s, and many other topics were discussed like Xcode and Cocoa Touch (which is something that interests me because application building is something I do as a hobby) but I must admit parts of the keynote did drag. However, it did pick up towards the end when Steve Jobs stepped on stage and pulled out the iPhone 3G.

The Worldwide Developers Conference is held annually in California by Apple, Inc. It’s a chance for Apple to display its new software and technology to developers. It’s a great opportunity for developers to take advantage of a lot of hands-on labs along with feedback sessions. This year there are 169 hands on labs that are being offered, along with 147 sessions, 85 for the Mac, and 62 will be held for the iPhone. Also available are iFund and Intel sessions. There are over 1000 Apple engineers at this conference.

Not surprisingly WWDC ‘08, like conferences from prior years, was sold out. There are 5200 developers attending this event. This year WWDC 2008 is being held at San Francisco’s Moscone West.
