Many Mac users are incredibly loyal to Safari. Some love it because of its minimalist feel and glossy, attractive interface. Others simply because it is made by Apple and they always support Apple products and software no matter what, out of loyalty. Even so, it may finally be time to switch to FireFox instead.

Not all music artists want their music to appear on iTunes. You can add Kid Rock to that list, at least for now. Recently, Kid Rock stated that he would not be having his music featured on iTunes (the number one music retailer in the U.S.) Kid Rock stated that he is taking a stance against Apple executives.

Back in 2003, “hell froze over” when Apple released iTunes 4.1 for Windows 2000 and XP. Flash forward to today where iTunes is one of the most popular if not the most popular jukebox software on Macs or PCs.

Apple has long been king of the patent lawsuit, going after everyone both large and small at the slightest hint of patent violation. Apple is also known for being the target of patent lawsuits, and this suit that pitted strange bedfellows Apple, eBay and AT&T against Klausner Technology is no exception.

Flash pages have been the bane of many a web surfer’s existence for ages. Apple may have finally found a way to toss Flash into the rubbish bin of web history with the new project Sproutcore framework, bringing Cocoa to the web.
Tucked away in a boring sounding WWDC session called “Building Native Look-and-Feel Web Applications Using SproutCore”, Apple quietly revealed one of the biggest announcements to come out of WWDC this year, a possible revolution against the much despised Flash.

Apple just released update 10.5.3 for Leopard, which had over 200 bug fixes and resolved a number of issues and conflicts. Continuing the “Leopard must have been a beta release” vibe, Apple is planning to release the final update to Leopard in July.

If you are a Mac user who uses Firefox, you might want to grab the most recent update. Firefox 3.0 RC 3 was released on Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Firefox 3.0 RC 3 focuses on a single bug which was introduced within Apple’s latest Mac OS X 10.5.3 update. Several users reported that their systems would hang up or crash at startup or shutdown.

When I checked my Software Updates on my 17″ MacBook Pro earlier today I noticed that QuickTime had received an update. When I logged onto the support page, I saw that Apple has improved Quicktime’s compatibility within this update. The update also addresses security issues.
