There has been a lot of hype surrounding the iPhone 3G. It’s finally here, many people have finally been able to download and purchase many of the fantastic applications that iPhone developers have created. Thanks to the iPhone 2.0 software update, a few of my friends have the first generation iPhone and they have said it’s turned their old mobile phone into “new iPhones” thanks to all the goodies included in the software.

Apple is having a rough week with customer satisfaction. On launch day for the iPhone they had major issues with long lines and problems with set up, transfers and activations. MobileMe is having one glitch in service after another, sometimes not working at all for people.

With all the attention focused on Apple’s launch of the much anticipated iPhone 3G, the official release of the App store, and MobileMe some might have overlooked that there was another update available. iPhone touch users have the chance to take advantage of many of the features also.

You can’t get away from news about the iPhone 3G these days. Whether it is reading about the long lines people stood in to get one, the wait for Apple and AT&T to fix sign up snafus, the short battery life at optimal settings, or other bits of news, it is out there to be waded through in a hunt for facts.

While everyone has been yammering on about the release of the iPhone 3G, the lines surrounding the release of the iPhone 3G, and the opening of the iPhone Apps Store, a significant announcement was being missed. AppleTV was given a face lift!

As expected, Apple released the much-anticipated update for iTunes — you know, the one that is needed for the App store? iTunes 7.7 is now available for download. If you’re wanting to try out all the applications that are available for the iPhone touch and the iPhone 3G you’ll have to download it.

With summer in full swing, and after the iPhone 3G frenzy has calmed down (it will be released this Friday July 11) many people will be eagerly looking forward to “leaks” about the updated MacBook Pro lineup. What should we expect? This past February Apple updated the MacBook and the MacBook Pro lineup; however, it wasn’t a major update.

How would you like to carry a virtual library in your pocket? It’s now a possibility thanks to the premier book service Legends, which is being introduced by ZappTek. Just like Amazon Kindle, users will be able to read books from an Apple handheld device.

News of one of Apple’s biggest sales ever comes out of Germany, of all places. A German publisher took the plunge and did what many of use Apple fans wish other companies would do – go all out for Apple products.
