“The world’s #1 online music store just got a little more epic”, is the message that greeted WOW gamers as when they logged onto the extremely popular MMORPG. Blizzard and Apple iTunes have hooked to offer six soundtrack albums to the online iTunes music store.

Logging onto iTunes you’ll find original soundtracks from six of the following games;

• Starcraft
• Diablo II
• Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos
• World of Warcraft
• World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade
• World of Warcraft: Taverns of Azeroth

How much will they cost? Expect to pay $9.99 for each of the titles. If you’re looking for a freebie you’re in luck, iTunes users can download the Diablo III Overture single for free. However you must do it before Tuesday, September 9, 2008 after that time you’ll have to purchase the single.

if you’re looking for Blizzard related items on iTunes you can stay on top of the action by downloading BlizzCast podcasts. Additionally you can view trailers for released games and upcoming releases. Currently Blizzard is developing Starcraft II and Diablo III

I won’t be surprised if we see more goodies being released from Blizzard on iTunes along with its website. Blizzard plans to release a pre-Wrath of the Lich King patch within a few weeks. Many believe that Blizzard will be releasing it around the time that Warhammer Online, another MMORPG, which is scheduled to be released later this month. Unlike Blizzard Warhammer Online is only available for Windows users. If you want to play it on your Mac be prepared to use Bootcamp or Parallels. Wrath of the Lich King is scheduled to be released later this year. Although we don’t have the release StarCraft III and Diablo III are currently in development.

I think a great soundtrack makes a video game even better. My musical taste are diverse I usually have some type of music playing. When I’m working on my MacBook Pro iTunes is usually playing in the background. If you are looking for original soundtracks from Blizzard Entertainment log onto iTunes online retail store to purchase and download the selections offered from Blizzard Entertainment. Turn up the volume on your Mac or Windows computer, upload the tracks to your iPod or iPhone and enjoy your selection!
