Introducing the MacJunkies podcast

September 17, 2008

I’m excited to tell you about our new podcast, MacJunkies. Starting on September 24th at 2PM, you can hear myself, Jonathan Schlaffer and a rotating list of guests and callers discuss all things Mac. We plan to talk about our favorite Apple news of the week, any rumors that are out there, software for the Mac platform and technical issues with Macs and Mac products, as well as offer tips and tricks and answer listener questions.

We will be using the TalkShoe podcast platform. This means that each podcast will be recorded live, and there will be an active listener chat room during the live recording of the session where you can interact with us in real time. Each week I’ll open a thread on Mac.Blorge for you to suggest topics you’d like covered or questions you’d like answered, but if you miss the thread, just show up in the chat room and ask us while we are in session!

To use TalkShoe, simply go to the site and get an account – it’s free! Then either go to the TalkShoe download page and download the free TalkShoe Live! call client to use to call in, or use the web interface to chat while you use a phone or Voip like Skype to call in. If you visit the MacJunkies call page, you can “Follow” the call and receive a reminder that it will be taking place a little before each session. If you can’t listen live, we will embed the recordings here, and you will be able to subscribe via iTunes as well once our first session is in the bag.

There are many Mac lovers on staff here at Blorge, and we hope to see all of our fellow Mac enthusiast authors stop by to talk with us as well. It will be a unique way for you to talk to us about one of our favorite topics – Macs and Apple products. Hope to see you there.
