MacJunkies Episode 1, iPhone 3G vs G1 Android, Mac Tips, Mac Rumors
Today we had the first episode of MacJunkies. We kept it short (15 minutes), however, future episodes will be 30 minutes long. We talked about the iPhone 3G vs the T-Mobile G1 with Google Android, LED light issues in MacBook Pros, where to go for replacement motherboards (logic boards), and a few ‘fun’ Mac rumors like Steve Job’s death.
Jonathan is going to be writing a post to go with his segment on replacing your motherboard (logic board) with some links and helpful hints, so look for that soon. We love answering user questions, so send your software, productivity and interface questions to Leslie, and send your tech and hardware questions to Jonathan. The podcast is embedded below.
You can subscribe to the PodCast on iTunes, listen to it here, or follow the podcast on TalkShoe and get a reminder before each episode starts. We also welcome panelists – if you’d like to be on MacJunkies, drop Leslie a line. Hopefully we will get some more of the writers for Mac.Blorge to join us on future episodes. We also hope to see more podcasts popping up on the rest of the Blorge blog channels.

Hello everyone, I just wanted to mention that the time between the podcast and the time that T-Mobile changed its service plan for the G1 wasn’t very long.
In the Podcast, we stated that T-Mobile had data caps of 1GB for the G1 before throttling downloads to 50Kbps or slower (slower than dial-up).
Now the plan reads data will be limited if a customer goes over 1GB. The information conveyed during the Podcast was correct at the time it was recorded. Just know that T-Mobile listened to feedback and changed the terms for the interim until it is “finalized” (their words, not mine).
Also, note we had some issues with mic feedback that has yet to be explained.

Hey thanks this will be fun. I really like the idea of keeping them shorter.
