Shantanu Narayen, the graphic software giant’s chief executive officer, overheard on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, purportedly has said that not only is Flash for the iPhone not dead, but that work is moving ahead.

Although iTunes users were happy when Apple decided to go DRM-free, the all-or-nothing upgrade policy meant a hefty expenditure for those with large libraries. That problem is now in the past, as Apple will now allow upgrades by song or album.

For wireless carriers in Europe, a best selling promotional package has been to bundle a netbook and broadband service for a low upfront price and a two year service contract. For at least one teleco in the Great White North, bundling Internet service plus a Mac is already a reality—sounds great to me.

After all the hubbub about Wi-Fi service for the iPhone, part of the problem will soon be solved. DeFi Mobile is releasing a voice over Wi-Fi application in the Apple App Store as early as next month.
