iPhone Apps: Craigslist goes mobile on your Apple handheld
Although I’m not looking for another Mac per se, I’m always looking for great deals and from time to time I find them on Craigslist. Further, this is yet another of those every other day or so tasks—tracking down that next bargain—that I can now offload onto my iPod touch—Craigslist.
That is, it’s really good to have a MacBook. But, it’s even better when I can leave my full size portable at home and still get real work done.
And, here are a handful applications that can help you untether and leave your MacBook at home the next time you need to schlep the kids around while still finding those deals and selling your stuff:
✏ CraigSearch (free)
—Puts all of Craigslist in your pocket for free✏ Craigsphone (free)
—Why wait until you get home to post your ad, missed connection, etc?✏ CraigsMobileList ($1.99)
—A simple and intuitive app designed to greatly improve ease of search, browsing and responding to listings
Further, although these are not Craigslist iPhone apps per se, these applications search specific sections of the popular free classifieds service to find a place to live or car:
• Find an Apartment (99¢)
—Searches many of the top apartment websites, including Craigslist, Apartments, Apartment Guide, Sublet, HotPads and Move• Home Finder Real Estate Tool (free)
—Search Google Base, MLS indexes, Craigslist and, my favorite home finder resource, Trulia• Find a Car ($1.99)
—Searches Google Base, eBay Motors and Craiglist.
My current go to list of iPhone apps includes Google Earth, Sol Free (solitaire), FaceBook, Joost, Now Playing (threatre, movie listings), Pandora (see also Last.fm) and AOL Radio.
That said, I’m always on the look out for great news apps. What iTunes AppStore titles have made it onto your iPhone or iPod touch, and are getting daily use?
Pop off about apps that make your handheld stand up and salute…
