iPhone, iPod touch 2.2.1 released

January 27, 2009

The usual bunch of bug fixes and stability enhancements are included along with Safari and Mail issues. Also, previous security patches are included in this release.

For the iPhone users among you, Macworld reports that this update provides improved Safari stability and fixes a Mail issue whereby Saved Photos do not display properly.

And, happiness be, that’s pretty much exactly what iTunes told m iPhone 2.2.1 Software Update for iPod touch would provide (image at right).

And, yes, as stated above, iPhone 2.2.1 also includes previous security patches and you can find out more about those here.

For additional information on how to install, this or any other update on your iPhone or iPod touch, check out Apple’s iPhone Software Update page and click “Learn More.”

So, you have installed iPhone 2.2.1 and your iPhone touch is now dead, more reliable, crashes, lost data, is so smooth I hardly recognize it, killed my favorite game / application / fart generator, etc…
