It’s ‘Hammer Time’ on the iPhone
Stanley Kirk Burrell (aka MC Hammer)’s “entrepreneurism” has again landed the one- time, one-man cultural phenomenon in the headlines with the release of HammerTime for the iPhone and iPod touch. Aren’t his 15 years of fame up yet?
Did you know that MC Hammer (Wikipedia) can boast 33,400 plus Twitter followers? Although he may have slipped our minds, he obviously hasn’t forgotten about us.
“I’m a big fan of creating premium content for the Internet,” says Hammer. “This iPhone application is the next logical progression in my social media ecosystem and connecting with my fans who like to follow my blog, calendar, music, videos and Twitter feed.”
That said, HammerTime (iTunes), which provides fans of MC Hammer an opportunity to check out what this Grammy award-winning music star is doing, is available for free.
Well, I can’t say that I’m particularly glad to see him still milking his 15 years of fame, but you have to give him credit for his energy and simple will to power…
