March 24 Apple Event coming?
From the “it’s about damn time department” come a pair of rumor reports indicating that a endlessly anticipated hardware refresh is just around the corner. Although an iMac update seems all but certain, will the long suffering Mac mini or, for that matter, Apple TV see some lovin’?
World of Apple (site not responding) and My Apple Guide are both reporting that unnamed sources have indicated to them that an Apple Event has been carded for March 24 with new desktop hardware to headline. That is a hopeful note given that the Mac Pro, Mac mini and iMac haven’t seen a refresh in at least a year and are all in dire need of updating.
According to World of Apple:
My Apple Guide who has historically had a rough track record has reportedly had multiple anonymous sources suggest the same date for an Apple event.
As is oft the case in Mac rumorology, not all crystal ball gazing has yielded the same result. To that end comes this third of a perfect pair Kodawarisan (via MacRumors) write-up stating that the fateful day will actually be this Tuesday. Though I doubtful of any such thing, sooner would definitely be better.

Of course, with Apple’s CEO (hopefully) resting and relaxing on a beach somewhere, it is more than likely that any such event will be hosted by the ever capable Phil “You’re no Steve Jobs” Schiller. Still, though we’ve seen plenty of rumors about what the hardware refresh will look like, nothing’s sure until the chunky marketing guy sings.
What are you expecting (hoping) to see?

A 30-inch quad core iMac would be great.
