How to: Send a Web page from Safari, using Mail
Harry Truman once said, “There is nothing new in the world except the history you do not know.” Well, perhaps that, and these tricks to make Apple’s Safari browser do your bidding.
Here are a string of related Safari for Macintosh productivity tips that just might make your day a little easier, and perhaps even impress the girls, guys or your house pet (if that’s all you’ve got).
Send a Web page as an email:
1. Open Safari, navigate to page you want to send, let it finish loading completely
2. Click the File menu, then choose “Mail Contents of This Page” or just press ⌘ + I
3. Wait a moment, Mail will open with the page you want to send already formatted and loaded with the page title conveniently inserted into the email’s subject line
4. Add the address or addresses of the people you want to send it to and then click send (⌘ + Shift + D)

A variation of this tip is to go to File and then choose “Mail Link to This Page” (⌘ + Shift + I), and then repeat steps 3 and 4 listed above.
An interesting riff thereupon suggested by MacFixIt (link above) is to drag the page’s “favicon” (ie icon in Safari’s address bar) to the Mail icon in the dock, which automatically opens a new message with the link to the page ready to send. Once again, repeat steps three and four.
