Micro Center blowing out 1.83GHz Mac mini for $349
Is this the lowest price ever for a new – not used or refurbished – Mac? It’s definitely not the freshest Apple desktop computer around, but easily the least expensive new Macintosh computer price I’ve ever seen.
Apple Authorized Reseller Micro Center is blowing out the last generation 1.83GHz Mac mini for just $349—a reduction of $50 off the retailer’s earlier special price. Interestingly, this is a new, not used unit and not a refurb, one that the Apple Store (when it has stock) sells for $499.
Here’re the specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 1.83GHz 1GB DDR2-667 RAM 80GB 5,400RPM SATA Hard Drive Combo DVD-ROM/CD-RW Drive Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 10/100/1000 Network AirPort Extreme 802.11g Wireless Network Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard Display Not Included See also:

Although I could be wrong, this price appears to the cash price, meaning no rebate is required. However, there are two caveats with this deal: 1.) in-store pick up only and 2.) limit one per customer.

The Mac mini has a fan, though there are simple ways to keep it quiet.
