Apple to announce fiscal third quarter results July 21
With the experts all over the map, predicting both rising and falling sales, it will be good to settle the matter with finality. Moreover, in these slow months of Summer, when there’s almost zero probability of any new products, it will be good to have something substantive to write about.
Apple has announced the date and time of its FY 09 Third Quarter Results Conference Call—Tuesday, July 21, 2009, 5 p.m. (EST)—their regular quarterly update. Yes, there will be a live webcast of the call, as well as a cached stream for digesting at your leisure for up to two weeks after the event.
Although I can’t imagine any particular reason for Steve Jobs to take part in this conference call, the world would perhaps be an ever so slightly happier place if he did. Which is to say, that getting third-hand reports of El Jobs’ Benz parked illegally in a handicapped spot at 1 Infinite Loop or of the man nodding to the hits at a Coldplay concert are all well and fine, it would be good to hear him tells us he’s fine.
Granted, there’s a palpable probability that any such statement would only be partly true, but it’s the delivery that counts.
