Apple Store UK says Snow Leopard to ship Aug 28
First it was the U.S. store that showed some skin only to quickly regain its modesty and cover up again. And, now the U.K. store has given us a little nipple slip, with a date tagged on mind you, for just a moment or two. If this isn’t gratuitous flirting, I don’t know what is.
Macworld UK reports that the Apple Store UK yesterday posted and then pulled the following tidbit on their Snow Leopard Up-to-Date program webpage:
Mac OS X Snow Leopard Up-To-Date – If you purchased a qualifying Mac or Xserve on or after June 8, 2009, that does not include Mac OS X Snow Leopard, you can upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. £7.95 Ships: By August 28th.

Thereafter, they updated the very same page with this info: “£7.95 Ships: September,” which has been the company line all along.
However, when Amazon began taking Snow Leopard pre-orders back on Aug. 1, many speculated that Apple itself would ship the operating system no more than one month later as per previous practice.
Whatever’s going on, I don’t believe that these slips are anything but intentional…
What’s your take?
