Video: Snow Leopard’s hidden features
Are you smarter than a 16 year old? Don’t answer in the affirmative until you’ve seen the work of high school junior Matt Fisher, who’s found some slick features deep inside OS X 10.6 and delivered in a style that says “made on Mac.”
Thereupon, Mr. Fisher has put together a four minute and 29 second video with adeptly executed screen captures all with concise, descriptive voice over.
Mr Fisher found these hidden features: • The re-emergence of the trash ‘put back’ feature, • Location based setting of time and date, • More organized keyboard shortcuts, • Showing the date in the menubar, • Hiding windows in dock icons, • Text and symbol substitution, • Preview viewing modes, • Resizing of icons, • Coverflow, • Spotlight, • Stacks
The world’s a beautiful place and it’s entirely possible your natural place in it doesn’t involve doing cool stuff like this. Then again, at the very least, you should make good use of Mr. Fisher’s good work and perhaps share it with a few friends or co-workers.
Me? I’ve got some quality time booked with the periwinkle…

I hate to break it to you, but those aren’t exactly “hidden” features. I’ve seen every one of them already written up many times over.
