Nobody move or the iPhone gets it…
This is one of those stories that just makes you doubt humanity’s future. Although the gun toting “villain” in this report lacked, shall we say, an appropriate measure of tact given the suburban setting he was in, you’ve gotta shake your head a little at the Apple Store employees who just kept the ball rolling.
Ifo Apple Store is reporting the sad, sad tale of Donald Goodrich, 38, a man with a shaved head and unshaven face carrying a concealed weapon, which he had a permit for. It seems he that told a Kenwood Towne Center (Ohio) Apple Store specialist he was so angry with his iPhone that he was ready to shoot it.
“I’m so mad, I could pop a 9mm at it,” referring to the iPhone. Goodrich then followed up by saying, “I’ll do it right now! Look!” giving the worker a glimpse where the handgun was concealed by moving his shirt.

Minutes later, after escorting Mister Second Amendment to the Genius Bar, the specialist told a manager and the manager called the police. Apparently, the Apple specialist believed that, “the offender will cause serious physical harm,” a misdemeanor under Ohio law.
Police arrested Goodrich without incident and also charged him with failing to immediately tell arriving officers that he was packing heat, a requirement of his concealed weapon permit.
Quick! Somebody call 672 (the NRA)!
I wonder if instead of Mr. Goodrich — he certainly looks the part, doesn’t he? — it was Ms. Goodrich and she was 80 years old or 24 and hot? Would the specialist still have freaked and would the manager still have called the cops?
Whatever the case, a sad series of events nonetheless…

I think if you look the part and act the part expect to be treated that way. If an eighty year old woman had come in it’s logical to think that she would be easier to subdue and be less of a threat then a younger larger man. Same as a 24 year old hot woman. It’s all about perception. If you want to be perceived as a bad-a$$ expect to be treated like one.
